KC Brick Lab participated in 13 different club displays, local conventions, and regional LEGO conventions in 2014. During our monthly meetings we had an average attendance of 21 members and we had a total of 52 different members participate in a meeting or display throughout the year.

Public Participation and Presentations
During the year, the club provided two hands-on experiences with the public using club brick at Maker Faire and the Woodneath Library.
Event Highlights (not all 2014 events listed)
6 February – The LEGO Movie Premiere at Alamo Drafthouse
12 members built a fun LEGO layout for the premiere of The LEGO Movie at the Alamo Draft House. It included minifigure scale builds and vignettes, as well as larger scale creations.

April – KC Brick Lab display – Kansas City in 1914 at Union Station (KCMO)
Members of KC Brick Lab designed and built a LEGO city version of Kansas City from 1914. It includes a river dock, a cattle yard to hold and transport livestock, and period era vehicles and buildings.

14-16 March – Planet Comicon Kansas City (Bartle Hall, KCMO)
Four members displayed and volunteered at our first ever Planet Comicon Kansas City. We had a great time and this has become one of our favorite events each year.

28-29 June – Maker Faire at Union Station (KCMO)
14 members displayed original LEGO creations and a small LEGO city layout. We also had a free build area where the public could design their own creations during the event.

8 November – Woodneath Library LEGO Display and Build Activity
10 members of the club conducted a display of original LEGO creations and provided club brick for the public to enjoy building during the day.

22 November – 31 December – Union Station Holiday Reflections (KCMO)
23 members of the club collaborated and built a LEGO winter ski lodge for our part of the Union Station Holiday Reflections display.
